Genesis Photographic Awards Prizegiving

Today (Wednesday 26th November 2003) Genesis Publications is giving out the prizes for its first Photographic Awards - the Genesis Publications/Liverpool Community College Sports Photography Awards.

The celebration is taking place at the Mathew Street Gallery in the centre of Liverpool. There will be prize giving, Êthe opening of the winners' exhibition and also an evening of Q/A with two former Liverpool stars.

The prizes will be given by former players Ian Callaghan and David Fairclough as well as Genesis photographer, Steve Hale (This Is Anfield).

Kick-Off at 6.30 pm at the Gallery at 31 Mathew Street Liverpool. Watch this space for the winners and their photos. The Awards are supported by Liverpool FC Former Players Association and the Daily Post.

First prize is £500 and a day working with Steve; second £250, best overall picture: £250 and best picture capturing the spirit of Liverpool FC is a free copy of This Is Anfield.
