Jimmy Page Launches His New Book
Last Thursday (4th November). Jimmy Page celebrated his new Genesis limited edition book with a VIP launch. Situated just off Denmark Street - London's famous 'Tin Pan Alley' - at Elms Lesters Painting Rooms guests enjoyed the chance to view an exhibit of photographs selected by Page himself for inclusion in his visual autobiography.Guests included Bill Wyman, Ronnie Wood, Sir Peter Blake, Mike McCartney (all authors of previous Genesis editions), Mick Ralphs and Roy Harper.
On display were a host of Genesis limited editions brought together for the first time. Jimmy's favourites were there, such as the full-leather bound ALICE'S ADVENTURES UNDER GROUND and MAXIMUM WHO which was edited by long-time friend and photographer Ross Halfin.
A public exhibit ran until Saturday 6th November, providing visitors from London and further afield - many traveling from countries such Switzerland, France and the USA to attend - an insight into Genesis book publishing and the chance to see the first ever copy of JIMMY PAGE BY JIMMY PAGE.
