Hendrix: Valleys of Neptune
2010 marks the 40th anniversary of the passing of the legend that is Jimi Hendrix. To mark the occasion, Hendrix Experience LLC and Sony Music Entertainment are planning a series of releases throughout the year - starting this week with Valleys of Neptune. This album incorporates 12 studio-recorded tracks containing 60 minutes of music that was originally recorded in a four month stretch in 1969 and are the final studio recordings of the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Subsequent releases will include deluxe CD and DVD versions of "Are You Experienced?", "Axis: Bold As Love", "Electric Ladyland" and "First Rays of the New Rising Sun".
