A Furious Heartbeat

‘A Furious Heartbeat: An Evening of Art and Music’, at Subliminal Projects art gallery brought together two Genesis contributors for the first time. Subliminal Projects is owned by the artist Shepard Fairey and, as well as his own work, the show featured renowned photographer Kate Simon

Shepard recently produced the cover of WOODSTOCK EXPERIENCE. ‘A Furious Heartbeat’ featured art created for Antonino D’Ambrosio’s book A Heartbeat and A Guitar, and his film Let Fury Have The Hour. The former is the story of Johnny Cash’s controversial album Bitter Tears: Ballads of the American Indian. The latter focuses on the ‘global activism’ of the late Joe Strummer, former frontman to The Clash.

Kate Simon is the photographer behind the Genesis limited edition REBEL MUSIC. The show included her photographs of The Clash, including her classic cover to their debut album. For more information, click here.
